Pokemon Violet - Softlock when just standing in place, music still playing. Not sure if this log file shows the problem

Can you test this on the latest official release as well? (Version 1.1.1403)

This would show if this is an issue with Ryujinx overall, or an issue with something introduced on this fork

Looks like it's present with the official release as well. Here's the log from that version:

@heisdanne looks like you also have an M2 Max! I just upgraded to an M4 Max and haven’t put enough playtime in yet to run into the crash again.

When yours crashes, do you sometimes get a hard lock where the display stops responding and the system completely locks up?

Exactly the same!! In this log file, a hard lock occurred, and the system rebooted itself. For me, it almost always happens when I'm in the echoes tab to view a monster to summon—it happened within a minute of gameplay.

I’m not coding-savvy enough, but it almost feels like something is happening in the GPU. I run multiple monitors and when it hard locks, I can sometimes force quit Ryujinx, but the display will continue to show whatever it got hard-locked on until I unplug the HDMI and plug it back in. Other times, it locks up my entire machine until it kernel panics or something and reboots.

Try disabling hypervisor, in the og ryujinx this was an issue which can be fixed by disabling hypervisor, or sometimes the other way around, also if that doesn't work clear ur ram on ur laptop

Guys, I think I solved the problem. I got rid of all the enabled mods (there were 3 of them — I disabled and removed them from the mods folder as well), cleared the shader cache and queued a PPTC rebuild, used an XCI version, and also tried the base 1.0 version of the game. After doing all of this, I had a crash-free experience, and the game ran for over an hour without any issues. The version I was playing when I was experiencing crashes was 1.0.2.

That might be the fix, I downgraded to 1.0.1 and played on single monitor instead of using sidecar during the game and I get no more crashes.

I can second the crashes. I have an M3, the game crashes after about 10 - 20 minutes. The same game is running on windows just fine. Disabeling the hypervisor worked for me, but makes the game quite slow.

I also have some logs, even though I think there should be enough here.

The error always starts with

00:01:50.961 |E| HLE.GuestThread.46 Cpu InvalidAccessHandler: Invalid memory access at virtual address 0x0000000000000000.

In the CPU Settings change the Memory Manager Mode to Host (Fast), and see if it still crashes.

Normally when I get Invalid memory access at virtual address 0x0000000000000000 crashes, that fixes it for me.
