Emulator crash when first entering heatfreeze island (bug repeated several times, island still inaccessible)

Maybe this is related to the fact that you're running the game in a higher resolution without an increased DRAM size. Have you tried this either without those mods (especially the resolution one) or the DRAM set to something higher than the default 4GB?
