Description of the issue

The game will suddenly slow down (frame rate nearly cuts in half) and after beating a level (never tested leaving through pause menu) the game will crash while loading back to the level select area.
I think the error occurs from loading levels via dying or starting.

Reproduction steps

Play for a bit, beat a few levels and it'll occur.
