Description of the issue

After I start the game, I cannot go through the start screen, where we're asked to press "A" to start. The controller seems to not be acting at all. However, if I quit fullscreen, then something actually happens when you press "A". There is a pop-up window with the profile manager, and you need to use your mouse to press continue, then the game works quite ok.

Reproduction steps

Start the game in full screen (use the available to fix the crash in the loading screen/video), then nothing happens when you press "A". Quit full screen, press "A", then the profile manager windows pops-up. You need to press continue in order to continue playing the game.
