# Compiling MeloNX on macOS

## Prerequisites

Before you begin, ensure you have the following installed:

- [**.NET 8.0**](https://dotnet.microsoft.com/en-us/download/dotnet/8.0)
- A Mac running **macOS**

## Compilation Steps

### 1. Clone the Repository and Build Ryujinx

Open a terminal and run:

```sh
git clone https://git.743378673.xyz/MeloNX/MeloNX.git
cd MeloNX
./compile.sh
```

You may need to run this command if compilation fails. (You will need to put in your user password. Your password will not be shown at all.)
```
sudo xcode-select --switch /Applications/Xcode.app/Contents/Developer
```

### 2. Open the Xcode Project

Navigate to the **Xcode project file** located at:

```
src/MeloNX/MeloNX.xcodeproj
```

Double-click to open it in **Xcode**.

### 3. Configure the Project Settings

- In **Xcode**, select the **MeloNX** project.
- Under the **General** tab, find `Ryujinx.SDL2.Headless.dylib`.
- Set its **Embed setting** to **"Embed & Sign"**.

### 4. Configure Signing & Capabilities

- In **Xcode**, go to **Signing & Capabilities**.
- Set the **Team** to your **Apple Developer account** (free or paid).
- Change the **Bundle Identifier** to:

  ```
  com.<your-name>.MeloNX
  ```

  *(Replace `<your-name>` with your actual name or identifier.)*

### 5. Connect Your Device

Ensure your **iPhone/iPad** is **connected** and **recognized** in Xcode.

### 6. Build and Run

Click the **Run (▶️) button** in Xcode to compile and launch MeloNX.
